Datilonim – Beit Lessin Theatre [English Subtitles]
Dafna and Avichai are a young Tel Aviv couple. She is an event producer, and he is a successful musician. Together, they seize life and enjoy every moment. However, deep down, Dafna is ready to settle down.
When Avichai finally proposes to Dafna, she is the most thrilled – she can finally plan and produce her own wedding party. But then Avichai starts putting tefillin and asks not to drive to Dafna’s parents’ house on Shabbat. She doesn’t fully understand the significance of all this yet, but slowly, their love story becomes the ultimate test of their lives.
A young and relatable romantic comedy about coexistence between faith and passion, between big dreams and painful compromises, and the search for common ground as religion enters married life: neither religious nor secular – “Datilonim.”
The play opens at the Beit Lessin Theater’s playwrights’ school, named after Baruch Ivcher, with workshops on stage and screen.
